Why Choose Steel?
There are many advantages to structural steel construction. Firstly, steel is cost-effective and highly durable. Its lifespan is considerably longer than other materials and it’s easy to produce in significant quantities. Another main advantage is its strength. It has a great strength-to-weight ratio, which means it’s lightweight compared to what it can support.
In addition to this, steel fabrications are 100% recyclable without loss of quality. It is the most recycled and sustainable metal in the world. 87% of steel used in construction in the UK is recycled.
