About Bath and The Local Area
Bath is the largest city in the county of Somerset, it was named after its Roman-built baths. Full of historic sites and monuments, there is a variety of things to see and do in the area. Enjoy a private tour of Stonehenge. Firstly, you will be picked up by a coach and you will head to Stonehenge. After this, you will visit the Roman Baths Museum, which is the only place in England where you can see natural thermal waters net to a Roman Temple. The tour will then be finished off with a visit to Castle Combe Village.
The Royal Crescent which was designed by John Wood is comprised of thirty houses that are shaped like a half colosseum. The Royal Crescent is a museum where you can explore life in the eighteenth century. The Botanical Gardens at Victoria Park were constructed in 1887. Spread over nine acres, you can see a huge variety of plants. Take a walk around the park and enjoy the scenic landscapes. There are many benches placed around the park for you to sit and relax.
